Learning Disabilities

We work with you to form a support network and create a bespoke support plan for each service user. We provide specific learning disability training for our team members to ensure our care and support fully meets every individual service user’s needs. 

What is a Learning Disability? 

A learning disability is when an individual has a reduced ability to understand information. Individuals with a learning disability can also find it difficult to communicate and can affect their independence. Statistics suggest that the around 1.5m people have a learning disability.

People with learning disabilities can have difficulty with everyday tasks such as household chores, managing budget and even socialising. Here at St Luke's Healthcare Professional, we support our service users to achieve these tasks and more. 

 We’ll work with you to create a bespoke support plan and involve you in choosing the the place or area you would like to live and we will also provide you with the best suited support workers, creating a team who will really make a difference.

We’ll work with you and your support network to create your support plan and involve you in choosing your support workers, providing you with staff who understand you. We provide specific mental health training for our staff to ensure our care and support meets the needs of every service user. St Luke's Healthcare Professional offer a range of integrated and stand-alone facilities, including low secure, locked and open services offering rehabilitation and recovery. The focus is on treating patients with complex and enduring mental health conditions who may or may not be detained under the Mental Health Act.
